Since I went vegan the only margarine I really ever used was Celeb "Lactose Free". It has a really movie popcorn butter taste and the texture is extremely soft. On our first grocery visit upon moving to Toronto we spotted Becel Vegan, and decided to give it a try. This is probably one of the margarines (vegan or otherwise) I've ever experienced. I did have Earth Balance the few times I could find it when living in Oshawa. I find the taste quite overbearing and the texture way to hard. Becel vegan margarine has a good mild taste, good to eat on its own with bread. It also stood up well in a my nainamo bar recipe that I made recently. All in all, a good product. Just wanted to spread the word. (Get it? Get it? See what I did there?)
